Increase your skills in Musical Theatre in this small-group course with one-on-one attention.

This workshop is a 4-session course focusing on perfecting our performances of musical theatre songs, creating interesting characters with points of view and addressing how to combine vocal technique with effective acting practices. By the end of this course each participant will have two songs that they are comfortable performing, one brought by the participant and one provided by us. To ensure our personalized instruction meets every student's needs, we'll reach out to all members beforehand to learn about their goals.

Week 1 - Identifying Themes
In our first week we'll look at some of the themes of musical theatre songs, and how and why we pick the songs we do. We'll also discuss our personal preferences and begin to find new songs for ourselves.

Week 2 - Introduction to Performance
This is the first week where we'll dive into our pieces, focusing primarily on a piece that you're already familiar with, and begin dipping our toes into the waters of a new song.  

Week 3 - Musical Theatre Seminar
This session will be focused on performing both of our pieces and mining all that there is to discover in them.
 

Week 4 - Performing Our Hearts Out
In our last week we'll perform our pieces, work out any final kinks and discuss how to continue our work and growth on these pieces and beyond.
